First Year students at St Laurence College took part today in an engaging STEM Robotics workshop delivered as part of the Junior Certificate School Programme (JCSP).
The workshop gave students the opportunity to explore the basics of robotics, coding and engineering through hands-on, practical activities. Working in small groups, students designed, built and programmed robots, developing key skills such as problem-solving, teamwork and critical thinking.
The session aimed to promote interest in STEM subjects while supporting the JCSP focus on active learning and student engagement. Students showed great enthusiasm throughout the workshop and demonstrated creativity and perseverance as they tested and refined their designs.
Activities like this robotics workshop help students build confidence in their abilities while gaining valuable digital and technological skills that will support their learning both in school and beyond. St Laurence College looks forward to continuing to provide similar opportunities that encourage innovation, collaboration and a positive learning experience for all students.
A special thanks to the visiting Tutors Raj and Sophie!
