Transition Year

Besides introducing Leaving Certificate material, the aim of the Transition Year is to foster maturity and personal development by offering students a wide range of experiences which are designed to encourage the development of technical, academic and vocational skills with an emphasis on self-directed learning. Each year, the curriculum is evaluated and developed to the needs of the students. Transition year subjects are:

Work Experience
Transition year also provides students with an invaluable opportunity to develop life-skills, explore their career interests and participate in the world of work by taking part in the St. Laurence College Work Experience Programme.
