Members of the Class of ’77,

First of all, may I take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended on the night and also those who informed me that they unfortunately couldn’t make it.

I would like to give special thanks to the following who came from overseas: -- their attendance really made me feel how worthwhile this whole experience was -- John Young, Derek Donnelly, Fran Kenny, Michael Keating, Eoin Mac Mahon, John O'Brien, Carl Brennan and Brendan Costello.

My thanks to all the Brothers and Teachers who attended and of course all the wives, husbands and partners who must have thought we were like children again on the night.

Special thanks and praise must go to Dermot Lacey, who assisted from the start in organising this night. Without Dermot we wouldn’t have had such a fantastic venue together with superb food, drink and service.

Thanks, too, to our photographer on the night, Sean Frayne. Sean is the son of his father of the same name from the class of '75.

What a great night. I was amazed how people warmed so quickly to each other and how everyone seemed delighted to see old friends again after so long.

It was good to see old friendships reborn and new friends gained.

Lets all keep in touch and who knows, we may all meet again in the future.

Finally, to the following past pupils who are no longer with us but I am sure were with us in spirit on the night. John Matthews, Jonathan Lambert, Paul Nash and Tony Cooney.
