What's Happening? |
Bridget Beirne: After completing my Leaving Cert I did a course in computers in FAS with Lisa Devlin. This 4 month course started straight after the Leaving in July. After this I went to stay with my sister Lorraine in Germany to help with her kids and do some nanny work – I stayed in Germany for 4 months. I was then told about a job opening in Microsoft and even though I wanted to stay in Germany for a bit longer, I came back to Ireland and went for an interview with Microsoft. 10 years later I am still working with Microsoft (my god is it last long!). I work in the MSN division which is now known as Windows Live. I am a Senior Program Manager which includes working on products such as Messenger, Hotmail and Mobile . I get to travel with my job which can be fun going to places like Seattle , Slovakia & Europe . Want to know more about me check out my website at http://spaces.msn.com/members/beirne [Dec. '05]

Lisa Devlin: Since leaving the College, I have worked in the localization industry as a project manager for six years. I worked in Freight Logistics and am now working in the Cosmetic Industry. I bought a house in Carlow and lived there for a while. Two years ago, I bought a place in Bray, so I am near my family and friends. I don’t see many from my school days but would love catch up with old friends. [Dec '05]

Linda Murray: Life after St Laurences has indeed been busy!! I've been working for 10 years now in Ashfield College ....always did like school didn't I. I began running the Adult Education programme in the evening time and then progressed to Operations Director. I visited the school a few months ago at the open night which was held. I met Ann McCarry, AnnMarie Morgan and Ted Doherty among others. It was great to have a snoop around again mainly out of curiosity. I was impressed with the new labs that have been kitted out and of course the prayer room and new extension. So many changes.. Be safe!! Best Regards.... [Jan 09] |
Ciaran O’Hare: I came across the past pupil website while browsing and thought I would say hello!
Well since leaving St Laurences I've been keeping myself busy mainly by working in the I.T. industry. Thankfully I've made a lot of progress and I am currently a Project Management Consultant working in the Public Sector.
I've been fortunate enough to be able to travel a lot too. While taking a year out in 03 I went on a trip of a life time and fell for an Aussie girl from Perth . We are now living together in Dundrum and we are looking to get married in the near future!
I have very fond memories of St Laurence College. I led a full life and the lessons I learned both in class and by the friendship I had with the brothers/teachers have helped me through my life. I am not saying I was a saint by any means – I am sure you can probably remember one or two instances where I wasn't!
I was wondering if our class of 94 or 95 (as I repeated) if we'd be having a reunion at some stage?
Anyways feel free to log my email incase anyone wants to get in touch. Kind regards [Nov 07] |
