Upon receiving a completed Application Form an appointment will be made with the candidate. All candidates must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the interview. It is important that candidates dress appropriately for the interview. There is a charge of €75, which must be paid before the interview. If the candidate is successful this charge is deducted from the overall fee.
Each interview lasts in the region of forty minutes. The purpose of the interview is to determine the motivation of the candidate. In order to secure a place on the 7th Year Programme we must be convinced that the applicant is willing to fully engage with the programme. The candidate must show the desire and determination to succeed in repeating their Leaving Certificate.
The interview also offers potential candidates the opportunity to alert us to any issues that could effect or have previously affected their learning. This is an important part of the process as it is our goal to be efficient in our support of our students.
