Europe Begins at Lampedusa

St. Laurence College are proud to be representing Ireland on the Italian island of Lampedusa next Monday the 3rd of October at a European gathering of schools to remember the terrible tragedies that have happened in the Mediterranean. Ms. Mulholland and three of our 6th Year students are leaving on Friday to make the long journey to the the island. They will engage over the weekend in workshops and discussions about the issues of migration and human rights. They will also present out unique project, Conversations about Leaving Loss and Lampedusa.
