Open Night First Year Short Film 2015

For the Open Night Ms. Liz Kelly (Home School Community Liaison Teacher) and Paul Curran (our local educational digital media consultant) worked with our First Year classes to record a short film about what the students liked about St. Laurence College in this transition phase to secondary school. The Marianists-Short Films

 

With the help of Paul Curran and Ms. Liz Kelly this special film was made to gain a deeper insight into the Marianist Community.

St. Laurence College is the only Marianist school in Ireland. Fr. Mike Reaume, Bro. Fred Rech, Bro. Gerry McAuley, Bro. Jim Contadino and our school chaplain Ms. Mary McBride are all interviewed in the film . Their personal stories provide a unique record of the Marianist contribution to the local area through our school. (more…)

Valentine’s Day Flowers

Alert Programme Graduates

Bro. Fred’s Christmas Hot Chocolate

Class 1L and 1R were invited to the new Marianist Community house today for a favourite St. Laurence College tradition- Bro. Fred’s Christmas Hot Chocolate. Father Mike, Bro. Gerry and Bro. Fred served up the homemade and hearty hot chocolate for all the students and this was topped off with toasted marshmallows.

Movember

Class 5L began November researching the Terracotta Warriors in R.E class and ended the month with four S.P.H.E classes that raised awareness of  testicular cancer. The four lessons were part of the excellent Marie Keating Foundation schools pack.
